Key benefits
Ribbon and paddle mixers share a common external vessel architecture; the internal agitator is selected for the process.
Broad tools move a large volume per revolution while limiting particle damage and heat generation.
Choose the configuration around footprint, filling, discharge and process circulation.
Standard non-ASME heating or cooling jackets can support modest temperature control.
Large access doors, smooth interiors and removable components can be specified.
Tool geometry, tip speed and power input are matched from development through production.
Common applications

Sanitary industrial mixers for seasonings, proteins, bakery blends, beverages, dairy powders and functional food ingredients.

Cleanable, documentation-ready blending systems for excipients, active ingredients, supplements, vitamins, minerals and botanical powders.

Robust mixing systems for pigments, additives, catalysts, detergents, coatings, resins and specialty formulations.

Industrial blending for resins, pellets, powders, fillers, stabilizers, pigments and additive packages.

Contamination-conscious powder mixing for cathode, anode, conductive, ceramic, carbon and nanostructured materials.
Available configurations
Available configuration
Horizontal vessel with single- or dual-shaft paddle arrangements. Externally, this platform is intentionally consistent with PerMix horizontal ribbon mixers.

Available configuration
Vertical vessel with top-driven paddles that lift and recirculate product in a compact footprint with gravity-assisted discharge.

Low-pressure heating & cooling jackets
Maintain product quality with low-pressure heating and cooling jackets, ideal for heat-sensitive materials and processes requiring temperature control during mixing.

When standard is not enough
For vacuum, pressure, ASME code, ATEX and other specialized requirements, our QuantumX systems deliver custom-engineered solutions for the most demanding applications.

Frequently asked questions
They can. PerMix uses a common horizontal vessel platform for many ribbon and paddle models. The principal difference is the internal agitator geometry selected for the product and mixing objective.
Paddles are often selected for fragile products, wider density differences, faster bulk exchange or applications where a ribbon may create unnecessary shear or product smearing.
Yes. The vertical version uses a compact vessel and top-driven paddle assembly for controlled lifting, folding and gravity-assisted discharge.
A standard model may use a non-ASME low-pressure jacket. Vacuum, pressure, ASME or ATEX requirements are directed to QuantumX.
Yes, within application-specific limits. Nozzle selection and droplet distribution must be matched to powder absorbency, agglomeration tendency and the desired final texture.
